Description
These containers are ideal for plant tissue culture and are autoclavable. They are not supplied sterile.
The unit GE/day stands for Gas Exchanges per day. It tells you how many times the gas inside a vessel is fully replaced over a 24 hour period. A rating of 81.35 GE/day means the air inside the vessel turns over about 81 times each day, so the vessel goes through a little more than 80 complete air changes daily.
Important notes:
Keep the filter zones clear of labels or anything else that could block them. The green filter moves a lot of gas per day, so if you want less exchange you can cover part of it. Covering the green filter halfway, for example, should bring your gas exchange down from around 80 to about 40. More exchange means your media can dry out faster. Depending on your microclimate, how long you plan to keep the plants in the vessel, and how much airflow your plants need, you can experiment with any of our filter types to find the right balance.
Avoid wetting the filters. If a filter does get wet, let it air dry.
Before reusing the lids, wipe them clean with a damp cloth. Do not soak them, and let them dry completely.
Dimensions:
Each Mycrobox measures L x W x H, 7 x 7 x 11.
If you are after sterile tubs, let us know the quantity you need. The sterile cups cannot be stacked and take up a lot of room in a carton, so shipping them works out expensive.
