How to use the product-
In mycology, this product is often used to sterilise mushroom bags containing Grain Spawn or Substrate and over Mason Jar Lids containing liquid culture mix. Simply add the items to be sterilised in the autoclave with the tape on them. Steam or moisture will not affect the integrity of the tape.
Add to your plant tissue culture media before sterilisation to ensure it is sterilised properly.
Proper Sterilisation technique-
Allow the Steriliser to reach 15psi, and then release the pressure by opening the valve until it reaches zero. This will remove any air pockets that may be present in the autoclave. Then, set a timer according to the sterilisation period required.
Maintaining a constant temperature of 121 degrees Celsius for about 20-25 minutes, the tape will change from yellow to strip black.
